DT Make it Crafty CAS Inspiration | Faye's Sunflowers

30.05.2016

Hi peeps,

are you ready for summer like I am? Today I show you this summery CAS card which I made as an inspiration for the Make it Crafty Store Blog.

The gorgeous image is called Faye's Sunflowers (available as a digi stamp in the MiC store – my version is just without the sun hat) that I colored with Copics. I love these cute girls!

I tried to create an ombré look on the layers of her dress using different shades of purple ;-)

The sentiment is from the Mama Elephant «Carried Away» stamp set and I heat embossed it in Gold. To finish my card I added two matching pearls from Doodlebug.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Mama Elephant I'll be here if you need a hug

27.05.2016

Happy Friday everyone,

today I want to show you a sweet little card which I made with one of the adorable bunnies from the Mama Elephant «Pix's Favorites» stamp set.

I kept the design pretty simple. For the background I masked off a rectangle and did some smooth Ink Blending using MFT Dye inks. I colored the image with Copics and fussy cut it out. You can't see it on the photo but I covered the heart with Glossy Accents. The lovely sentiment is from another Mama Elephant stamp set called «In My Heart» and I heat embossed it with «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder by Ranger. I added a tiny die-cut heart next to it.

I'm joining the following challenges:

Altenew Happy Wedding | Inktense Watercoloring

23.05.2016

Hello everyone,

since it's raining all day, I finally had the time to sit down and play a little in my craft room. I created a wedding card using Altenew stamps and Derwent Inktense Pencils to do some simple Watercoloring. I really like the vibrancy of these pencils.

At first, I stamped this beautiful floral image from the «Best Mom» stamp set with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it in clear. Then I colored the blossoms in pink and the leaves in green by layering the colors and blending them with water. I added a light grey shadow around the embossed image with a ZIG Clean Color Real Brush.

The sentiment is from the «Vintage Roses» set and I heat embossed it with the new Simon Says Stamp «Rose Gold» embossing powder. To embellish the card, I adhered Pretty Pink Posh sequins and some light pink droplets which were made with the fabulous WOW! «Melt-It!» embossing powder.

Here is a photo of my little selfmade droplets – aren't they pretty?!

DT Make it Crafty CAS Challenge #13 | Summer Scene

16.05.2016

Hi everyone,

today I want to share with you my card for the Make it Crafty Clean and Simple Challenge with the theme «Summer».

I created a scene by combining the Summer Dreams Digi Stamp with the Rainbow Meadow Digi Stamp. The blue sky was sponged with «Tumbled Glass» Distress Ink after masking off the other parts of my scene which I colored with Copics afterwards.

The sentiment was put together with a stamp from Avery Elle («Sentimental») and a Simon Says Stamp die cut.

You still have time to enter our «Summer» challenge by the end of the month. You can find all the details HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

DT bastel-traum.ch Challenge #41

15.05.2016

Good morning peeps,

today we have a new theme over at the bastel-traum.ch Challenge – «Fantasy». Grab your fairies, unicorns, other magical stamps etc. and join the fun!
http://bastel-traum.blogspot.ch/
This challenge will run until June 15th, 8:55 am CET (Central European Time).

I'm in love with the cutest little dragons ever from the Cleary Besotted Stamps «Hot Stuff» set.

I colored this adorable baby dragon with my Copics and fussy cut him out leaving a small white border. For the background, I stamped the Simon Says Stamp «Stepping Stones» background at an angle using VersaMark ink and did some clear heat embossing.

After that, I grabbed some of my favorite Distress Ink colors («Cracked Pistachio», «Peacock Feathers», «Tumbled Glass» and «Twisted Citron») and blended them together. I added some random water droplets to lift the color here and there.

I cut my panel with the largest SSS «Stitched Rectangle» die and adhered it to a teal card base. The sentiment is from the Clearly Besotted «Caped Cuties» stamp set and I heat embossed it in white on a strip of black cardstock. To finish off my card, I added some sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fantastic Sunday!

Lil' Inker Designs Inky Flowers Sympathy Card

13.05.2016

Hello everyone,

now and then we need to create a card to comfort someone in grief :-(
For this CAS sympathy card I finally used the artsy and beautiful «Inky Flowers» by Lil' Inker Designs.

I stamped the floral images in VersaMark and heat embossed them with «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder. The German sentiment is from Stampin' Up! and I stamped it in VersaFine «Onyx Black». I die-cut my stamped panel with the My Favorite Things «Cross Stitch Rectangle Stax» Die-namics and matted it with black cardstock before adhering it to the white top-folding card base.

Those whom we have
LOVED
never really leave us.
They live on forever in our
HEARTS.

DT Stempelgarten Challenge May

05.05.2016

Good morning everyone,

it's again time for the Stempelgarten Challenge and the new theme for this month is «Animals/Critters».

http://stempelgartenchallenge.blogspot.ch/

Today we celebrate Father's Day in Germany and this is the card that I made for my beloved dad:

I created a little scene using some fabulous My Favorite Things products. This cute bear is from the «Forest Friends» stamp set and I colored him with Copics. I cut the trees from chevron patterned paper and woodgrain cardstock using the «Treemendous» Die-namics. I love the stitching detail and sponged some matching inks on the edges.

For the background I used the largest of the «Inside & Out Stitched Rounded Rectangle STAX» Die-namics. I die cut it twice – once from Stampin' Up! «Naturals White» cardstock and a second time from Neenah «Solar White Smooth» cardstock. I'm a huge fan of Melania Deasy – everything she creates is just gorgeous! I admire her soft and perfectly ink blended backgrounds and gave it a try, too. The MFT Premium Dye Inks work really well for this.

I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark and heat embossed it with «Liquid Platinum» embossing powder by Ranger. Finally, I assembled my card by inlaying the ink blended background into the «Naturals White» frame. The trees were directly glued to the background and the bear was fussy cut and adhered with foam tape.

You will have time until May 31st, 2016 to join our challenge and this is the prize you could win:

A craft package from the Stempelgarten Online Shop with a value of CHF 20.–.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

May Pinterest Inspired Challenge

01.05.2016

Hello everyone,

long time, no see! I do not have a lot of crafty time these days but I'm glad that I was able to make a card for the new Pinterest Inspired Challenge.

http://pinterestinspiredchallenge.blogspot.ch/

This is the fabulous inspiration photo for May:

Love these gorgeous scattered and overlapping watercolor squares. At first I wanted to create something similar. But then I came across the «Mini Star Shower» stencil from The Crafter's Workshop and decided to go with the rainbow colors only. So this is my take:

I created a Baby card using one of the My Favorite Things «Adorable Elephants» that I colored with Copics. For the star background I sponged some Avery Elle Pigment Inks through the stencil. It's fantastic how you can mix & match the sentiments from the versatile MFT «Label Maker Love» stamp set. I stamped the words in MFT «Black Licorice» Hybrid Ink and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I popped up the elephant and die-cut words with foam tape and rounded all four corners of my card. Finally, I added some «Sparkling Clear Sequins» by Pretty Pink Posh.

Enter your project(s) until Wednesday, May 25th at 11:55pm EST. For all the challenge details and the inspiring work of my lovely team mates please hop over to the PIC blog. I'm looking forward to see your creations!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Sunday!
